I am required to do a fair amount of overnight travel for my work.  When I began traveling regularly, I discovered that I was spending too much time packing and unpacking the same items before and after each trip: toiletries, cell phone and computer power cables, frequently used remedies.  Now I have a travel kit that contains duplicates of these travel essentials, kept in a handy spot in a bathroom storage cabinet.  Also included, mostly for my comfort:  teabags in my favorite flavor, the "right color" sweetner packets, antibiotic ointment, a variety of sizes of bandage strips, and a hotel-size sewing kit.  All have proved very handy.

And, with recent requirements that limit the quantities of liquids and gels permitted for entry at an airport, I've purchased refillable containers, all clearly labeled, which I check and replenish at the end of each trip.  The bonus: I've discovered just how long these items last, making me more aware of my consumption.  And, I can buy bulk-sized containers of liquid and get products, for example, using them at home and to refill my travel containers.  What a savings of time and money!
